What is giftpass.com?
Giftpass.com is a convenient and easy-to-use web-based service that offers gift cards from Canada's national retail stores, hotels, restaurants, entertainment providers and more.
giftpass.com is a division of Givex, which has been operating since 1999. Givex is a global provider of gift cards, loyalty programs, point of sale (POS) systems, advanced kitchen display systems (KDS), ordering kiosk, and tableside ordering.

Ordering and Payment
What currency are your gift cards in? What currency will we be invoiced and charged in?
Our gift cards are in Canadian funds. If you are in Canada, you will be charged in Canadian funds. For US customers, you will be charged in the US equivalent of your total purchase.
Do gift cards have an expiry date?
As of October 1, 2007, all gift cards purchased from giftpass.com will not expire. The GIFTPASS does have an expiry date. A GIFTPASS that was purchased through our Corporate Sales program AFTER August 14,2019 will not expire. A GIFTPASS that was purchased through our Corporate Sales program expires one year from the issue date. Please check your GIFTPASS for an expiry date if you have received the GIFTPASS from a corporation, such as your employer, or as a gift from a corporate promotional program.
A GIFTPASS that has expired has no use and can no longer be redeemed.
Can I place an order if my billing address is outside Canada and the United States?
Currently, we only accept orders from Canada and the United States.
How do I place an order?

What is the order cut off time to have an order processed?
Orders received before 2 p.m. EST (11 a.m. PST) will be processed and shipped the same day. Orders received after 2 p.m. EST (11 a.m. PST) will be processed the next business day.
Can I change my order after I have placed it?
Call us at +1 (833) 632-0867 or contact Customer Support to see if a correction can be made. Please ensure the information you provide us is correct before making the purchase, as giftpass.com is not responsible for gift cards sent to the wrong address.
How can I check the status of my order?
If you email the customer service department to inquire about the status of your order, please be sure to include the invoice number from the confirmation email you received after placing your order. Because giftpass.com receives numerous orders on a daily basis, the customer service department will not be able to follow up on your inquiry without this information.
How do you verify orders?
In a continuing effort to help protect online customers against unauthorized credit card use, giftpass.com verifies all received orders. To eliminate the possibility of delay in processing your order, please ensure that your billing address matches your home address. Also, please provide your primary phone number with area code for contact purposes. Failure to include this information may result in your order being delayed or cancelled.
If I place a bulk order for a large quantity, can I have the entire order delivered to my location first, so that I may personally deliver it to my recipients?
Absolutely! You can save multiple shipping and handling fees by having all the gift cards delivered directly to you for personalized gift giving.
Can retailer gift cards be customized with someone’s name on them?
Unfortunately we cannot personalize retailer gift cards. The gift cards we carry are the original retailer gift cards you would find at their retail locations. Whether a gift card is plastic or paper, no names are printed on them.
Can a GIFTPASS be customized with our company logo or company name?

Shipping & Handling
Can I ship gift cards to more than one destination?
Currently, you can ship gift cards in the same order to one destination. You can place different orders to have the gift cards mailed to different destinations.
What happens to a package that doesn’t arrive?
If a package cannot be delivered to the recipient because the address provided is incomplete or incorrect, the purchaser is required to pay the shipping fee again to have the envelope re-shipped to the correct address.
Please ensure that the information you provide us is correct, as giftpass.com is not responsible for gift cards sent to the wrong address.
All GIFTPASS orders requested to be sent via email MUST include the complete and correct email address for the recipient. Giftpass.com will not be responsible for undelivered merchandise due to incorrect address or email information.
If a GIFTPASS cannot be delivered to the recipient because the email address provided is incomplete or incorrect, the purchaser is required to pay the email shipping fee again to have the GIFTPASS emailed to the correct email address.
Can I have an order shipped outside Canada?
Currently, we ship to destinations within Canada only.
What does the shipping and handling fee include?
The gift cards arrive in a gift holder that has the option for a personal message. The fee also includes the cost of delivery service, all applicable taxes and shipping and handling.

What is giftpass.com’s return policy?
Unfortunately, giftpass.com does not accept any returns or exchanges. giftpass.com will allow for exchanges only if the incorrect shipment is due to an error made by giftpass.com. Please notify us at +1 (833) 632-0867 or contact Customer Support.

What’s the difference between the GIFTPASS and gift cards you sell?
Giftpass.com is your one-stop source for gift cards from over 70 of Canada’s most popular retailers, restaurants, hotels and entertainment attractions. GIFTPASS is a universal gift card that can be redeemed for any of the retail gift cards offered at giftpass.com.
How are GIFTPASSES delivered?
GIFTPASSES can be delivered by email or mail, simply choose the option that you prefer in the delivery options page.
How do I redeem my GIFTPASS?
- In the GIFTPASS code box enter your GIFTPASS code, and click "Submit".
- Check that your GIFTPASS value is the same as stated on your GIFTPASS.
- Browse through the Gift Cards catalogue and choose the gift you would like to receive.
- Check-out and your gift cards will be mailed to you!
Can I redeem for more than the value of my GIFTPASS?
Currently you can only redeem up to the value of your GIFTPASS.
What is the cost of shipping my GIFTPASS?
At this point in time, there is no cost for shipping.
How many times can I redeem a GIFTPASS?
You can redeem a GIFTPASS as many times as you wish up to the value of the GIFTPASS that you have been given.
What happens if I have more than one GIFTPASS to redeem?
You can only redeem one GIFTPASS at a time.
How do I find out the balance of my GIFTPASS?
You will be able to see the card balance when you redeem your GIFTPASS.
Why can’t I see the entire list of retailers?
The list of retailers available with your GIFTPASS is based on the type of GIFTPASS the purchaser has chosen.
What happens if giftpass.com does not have the retailer denominations that I am looking for?
The denominations that giftpass.com carries are generally the most popular denominations that you would also find in the retailers’ store locations. In most situations, we can accommodate your order by combining several gift cards to reach the amount of your purchase.
How are the gift cards shipped after I have redeemed my GIFTPASS?
The gift cards are shipped based on what the GIFTPASS purchaser has selected the shipping method to be. Your gift cards will either arrive via Canada Post services or courier services. Please allow at least 3 – 7 business days for your gift cards to arrive.
If I have the gift cards shipped to someone else, can I include a message?
No. Your GIFTPASS was originally meant for you. Should you decide to send the gift cards to friends or family, you will not have the option to include a personal message.

What if I make a mistake in entering my shipping information, but I have already submitted the redemption?
You can call us at +1 (833) 632-0867 or contact Customer Support. Be sure to include your name, GIFTPASS number, redemption reference number and the correct address to where the gift cards and gift certificates should be shipped. Please ensure that the information you provide us is correct, as giftpass.com is not responsible for gift cards sent to the wrong address.
How long does it take to process a GIFTPASS redemption?
Generally it takes two business days to process your GIFTPASS redemption.
Will I get email confirmation of my redemption?
Yes. You will receive an email confirmation of your GIFTPASS redemption.
Can I track the status of my order online?
Tracking for GIFTPASS redemptions is not available. Once you have redeemed your GIFTPASS, you will receive an email confirmation that we have received your redemption.
Do I get an order number to reference if I have questions or concerns?
Yes. You will receive a redemption reference number in your redemption confirmation email. You will need this number when contacting Customer Service with your GIFTPASS-related question.
Can I redeem my GIFTPASS and ship the gift cards and gift certificates to someone other than myself?
Yes. You can have your gift cards shipped to someone other than yourself, provided that the address is within Canada.
Can I return or exchange a GIFTPASS?
Your GIFTPASS cannot be exchanged or returned. It can only be redeemed for retailer gift cards at giftpass.com.
Does my GIFTPASS have an expiry date?
A GIFTPASS that was purchased directly online from giftpass.com will not expire.
A GIFTPASS that was purchased through our Corporate Sales program AFTER August 14th, 2019 will not expire.
A GIFTPASS that was purchased through our Corporate Sales program BEFORE August 14th, 2019, negotiated by contract, expires one year from the issue date. Please check your GIFTPASS for an expiry date if you have received the GIFTPASS from a Corporation, such as your Employer, or as a gift from a Corporate promotional program.
